Happy New Year!
I saw this quote awhile back & it struck me how much energy we expend on being who we think we should be, rather than simply getting comfortable with who we are.
We all know what we could strive to do better in various areas of our lives.
My only caution would be to ask yourself why you are putting forth the effort to make those changes?
Is it because you are trying to live up to someone else’s expectations?
Or is it because, in making those changes, it allows you to be the best possible version of yourself?
Give yourself permission to sift through the expectations of others and instead focus on what is right for you.
Be the best possible version of yourself, whoever that might be!
Happy New Year my friends and as always, thanks for reading!
Hugs,

Hugs back🤗. Great advice.
Thank you Dwight!💛
You don’t post often, Lynn, but it’s always worth reading. A very happy new year to you, too!
Excellent advice for a happier New Year, Lynn.
Thanks Al! Happy New Year!❤️
I think as we grow older it is easier to accept who we are, though there are so many pressures on young people nowadays to conform to other expectations. Happy New Year Lynn.
I so agree Jude. I do think there are so many more pressures on young people today, it seems to be the world in which we live. With age, we soften in that regard, seemingly gathering the wisdom to allow ourselves to be who we are. Thanks for visiting today my friend.💕
It’s always a pleasure to read one of your posts.
❤️
Well said, Lynn! One of the advantages of aging, is being more confident and comfortable with ourselves!
Thank you gf! It definitely takes some aging to recognize it’s okay to be exactly who you would like to be, rather than spending so much time worrying about who others think we should be.❤️
TRUTH, right here. Thanks and Happy New Year my friend. ❤
You know it! Happy New Year beautiful!❤️
Thanks for the timely reminder. Happy New Year!
Thank you for the visit! Happy New Year!❤️
Hear, hear! I agree so much with asking yourself: “why you are putting forth the effort to make those changes?” If know your *why* you’ll make good choices and find a way. Happy New Year! Great to see a blog post from you.
Ally, I am all for growing & changing and putting in the effort to be better versions of ourselves. It is definitely the “why” that needs to be asked! Happy New Year Bean! Thanks for hanging in there and continuing to read my less-than-regular posts!😘
😉👍 Happy New Year Lynn & Brian, hope alls well with you & yours!
