Making Changes

When the calendar flips to a brand new year, many of us often find this a good time to reflect on what we might like to change moving forward.

Those changes vary for each of us, for only within our own hearts do we know what we need to alter or work on in order to feel more fulfilled.

I have never been a fan of New Years resolutions but here is what I am a fan of.

I do think it is important to pause & give thought to everything we feel good about in our life and alternatively, to determine what we might need to change in order to help us grow to our full potential.  To live our best life.

Some of those changes are hard.  Some require an awful lot of work. Some may even seem insurmountable.  But I assure you, they are possible.  We only need to take the first step needed to start us in the direction we want to go.

So as you look forward to 2019, I encourage you to make the necessary changes to lead you towards the best life you envision.

If you falter or fail,  keep putting one foot in front of the other, grab hold of a hand if you need to, but don’t ever stop trying.

With some perseverance and perhaps a little learning along the way, the reward can only be that much sweeter when we achieve the change we hoped to accomplish.

Whatever dreams you envision for 2019, I wish you a year that is filled with joy & adventure & most of all, love.

Happy New Year!

Hugs,

L💛

Happy New Year Lynn! Hope you’re staying warm and enjoying those little ones.

    • Lynn says:

Happy New Year Ingrid! It has been very mild here although I suspect compared to Arizona, you would still classify it as winter! Fingers crossed for snow so that we can get out to ski!

  2. Al says:

A lovely sentiment, Lynn. Thank you and wishing you and family a very Happy New Year!

  3. Joanne Sisco says:

Well said, Lynn. Change that is hard work is often soon abandoned – and changing bad habits seem to be the worst. I know. I’ve been working on mine for my entire life … and it’s still a work in progress 😏

Best wishes for a new year! 💕

    • Lynn says:

I so agree Joanne. I think we are pretty much a work in progress til the end of life, don’t you? I guess half the battle is, at the very least, being aware of things we need to work on. Wishing you a very Happy New Year my friend!😘

    Happiest & Healthiest New Year!

  5. A beautiful reflection, Lynn. I agree. Change can be hard but it is good to at least try. (Although Yoda would disagree with me.) Here’s wishing you success in living your best life in 2019! 🙂

  6. A wonderful message for the new year. Conscious choices are important. It seems that we need to know what we want, what we want to change, what we want to be different, for those things to happen. It is I think an acknowledgment and even imagery which is put out there (manifestation) which leads to reality. All the best to you for 2019. May it be everything you visualize.

    • Lynn says:

Peta, thank you for your beautiful words. I love the idea of creating imagery! One of the things I hope to accomplish in this new year is to learn a little more about meditation & allowing myself to turn off my brain. It’s a work in progress but I shall certainly keep at it! Happy New Year to you & Ben.🎉

  7. Heyjude says:

Wise words Lynn. Wishing you all you wish for yourself in 2019. I really can’t get my head around the fact that it is 19 years since the millennium!

    • Lynn says:

Thank you Jude. You are so right, it Is hard to believe we are 19 years in to the millennium. Remember the fuss that year, everyone fearful of the impact that number 2000 would have😂. Happy New Year Jude!🎉

  8. Sue Slaght says:

Lynn this is wise advice. I think often we get caught in a rut and are left feeling there is no way to make change. Wishing you a brilliant 2019 and hoping our paths will cross once again.

    • Lynn says:

Agreed Sue! The start of a new year seems to bring a renewed optimism & a good reason to start working on the things we would like to change. Wishing you the same my friend & I shall keep my fingers crossed that 2019 brings us an opportunity to get together!

You don’t post often, Lynn, but always with something worth saying. Right now i am indeed a work in progress, and very lucky to be so. Bless you for coming around to my place, and wishing you a healthy and fulfilling year ahead. 🙂 🙂

  10. Ann Coleman says:

That’s beautiful, Lynn! Happy New year!

  11. This was a wonderful message for the new year! Change can be difficult, but taking it one step at a time is the way to go. The little steps all add up gradually, instead of one major leap! Of course, sometimes a big leap is what is required to make a change, but the reality is, you have to move forward one way or the other. Thank you for your wise words and happy new year!

    • Lynn says:

Thank you so much for your kind words Linda. You have brought up a good point, small steps nudge us is in the direction we need to go however sometimes we just need to tak a huge leap of faith! Thanks for reading & Happy New Year!

  12. George says:

Thank you, Lynn. I hope you and those you love have a blessed and healthy new year..:)
